About this blog
Welcome! This blog is about my crafty, arty, creative life. My bio: Fence-sitting feminist. Timid author. Paper hoarding, restless crafter. Rain denying bog leaper. Retro board game enthusiast. FOI & RM trooper. Ent-ish. Northener. Londoner. I founded www.thefword.org.uk and co-authored 'Reclaiming The F Word: The New Feminist Movement'. But this blog is about paper and fabric and art and stuff. You're very welcome to hang out here for a while.

Love Coniston. Could happily live at Brantwood! (Saw Ruskin's house in Venice when I was there at Christmas - he certainly knew how to pick 'em!)

Hi, my girlfriend bought me your zine for Christmas. Fantastic! I really enjoyed reading it on Christmas day while my nut roast went down! It made me want to do a long distance walk in fact. Maybe I'll get to do one in 2012.
I write a zine loosely based on walking called The Wanderer. I've put a little link to this page on The Wanderer's Facebook page:

Happy Christmas!

In reply to your tweet about doodling in meetings. See, you doodle because you're a right brainer - a creative thinker. Everyone else is thinking in linear terms but you are opening your mind to infinite possibility
Or ... you doodle cause you're bored and would rather be home doing something creative!

I so sympathise on this. I've been a student for pretty much my whole life, and I'm now job hunting. For my first job interview I planned to wear a sleeveless dress, but forgot to shave my armpits, so I had to get my partner to iron a skirt for me. Formal femininity takes a lot of time and effort.

Lol I think we're all guilty of this sometimes - or letting what we read in books/on the web steer us away from our 'right' creative path (the one we would be on if not for outside influence). Yet here I am (again) online going 'oh, cool' hehe great page, thanks for sharing Jennibellie x

oh that is sooooo possible. what sector do you work in now? ps. getting things done is really working for me. But I do think most people (myself included) need to be hand held through the process. I mean I read the book and was very motivated to action it, but it still took a day with PWD to get to the other side and fully implement.

I really really like your painting! I like how she comes out of the background and isn't a complete form - I really struggle with that. I also love her pose and the wavy blue lines which make your eye travel from top to bottom. Love the studio also - very resourceful!
